why we call sweden home

People often ask why SKULPT is based in Sweden. After all, we work globally.

The real answer is that we could have been based in the United States—much of our team is there. However, we made a conscious decision to call Sweden our home.

For us, Stockholm in particular offers the kind of forward-thinking environment we want to surround ourselves with. Of course, San Francisco or New York has a larger startup ecosystem, but we didn’t quite find the same everyday intentionality that we found in Stockholm.

Here, our days are filled with interesting conversations at co-working spaces and even in random grocery stores. In Stockholm, we’ve found a community that feels genuine.

On top of that, in 2025 alone, Swedish startups raised about €5 billion in venture capital, much of it directed toward impact-focused companies.

Exactly what we value: innovation that is thoughtful, sustainable, and that aim to make the world a better place.

Ultimately, being based in Sweden keeps our bar high and in an environment that we are proud of. One that moves the world forward for the better.
