your raison d'être

Two founders in conversation on the steps

You probably built your identity backwards.

The internet tells you to start with the visible. Choosing carefully the clothes you wear, the song you post on your story or the gym you go to.

But by focusing on tangibles, the why often fades away. And in our opinion, that’s the most important part. The reason you’re drawn to a particular style, why certain spaces make you feel something, or where your music taste originated. All those traits that make you unique and human.

We call it raison d’être, your reason for being.

Just like people, companies need a raison d’être. A backstory that is complex and keeps the mysticism. And especially, one that transcends a ‘perfect’ landing page. We’ve all been on a perfectly-structured-right-animations-took-time-to-create website that somehow still feels cold and hollow.

That’s what happens when you build your identity from the outside in.

Real personality and differentiation happens in the unseen, quiet work. In your raison d’être.
